Orders in about a second
New orders reach every kitchen screen over a live connection within about a second — including Android screens that can't get push notifications — and the screen falls back to checking every 15 seconds if that connection drops.
- Each display holds a live connection to Selflane; a new or changed order shows up within about a second, from any channel (POS, online, QR code, kiosk, delivery apps).
- Push notifications are a second path where the device supports them. The display also checks for orders on its own every 60 seconds, or every 15 seconds when it has no live connection or push (the bottom bar then says "No Push Support").
- After a network drop the display keeps retrying, reconnects on its own and catches up — no restart needed. Tickets already on screen stay up with a warning showing how old they are.
- The display waits about 15 seconds after someone taps a ticket before refreshing, so the board doesn't move under their hands.
