Edit and proofread your menu in plain English

Type a change like "add an apple juice to Beverages, $3.50" or "86 the House Red" and review exactly what will change before it applies. Proofread finds typos and writes missing dish descriptions for you to accept one by one.

Both live in the Menu Assistant at the top of Settings › Menu › Menus.

Edit — describe a change in plain words and click Preview. You see every change it would make; anything it was unsure about starts unchecked. Uncheck what you don't want and click Apply. It can:

  • add a dish to a section, or copy an existing dish under a new name
  • rename a dish or move it to another section
  • mark a dish 86'd or available again
  • raise or lower prices, including online and third-party upcharges, for one dish or a whole section
  • add a modifier group (or one set up like an existing one) and attach modifiers to dishes
  • add items to a matrix modifier group

It does not delete dishes. If a dish changed since the preview, it is skipped rather than overwritten.

Proofread — choose the whole menu, wording fixes only, dishes missing a description, or selected dishes. Each suggestion shows the old and new text with Accept / Reject; Accept all safe leaves the less certain ones for you. It never invents ingredients: dishes it cannot describe from their name are listed for you to write yourself.

Selflane saves a copy of the menu before applying; the owner can restore it from Sync within seven days. There is no charge; daily limits apply.
