Settings on each iPad
Each POS iPad has its own settings under More › Settings: what it prints, how it takes orders and tips, its language, sounds, register station, lock screen and delivery fee. Business-wide POS rules are set in the back office instead.
Printers on each iPad
Each POS iPad has its own list of printers under More › Printers, choosing which printer handles its receipts and which handle kitchen, bar, label and expo tickets. You can copy the list from another iPad and check or clear the print queue.
- Groups: active iPads (and kiosks) seen in the past year, Selflane Displays screens, and a collapsed Inactive Devices list for anything not seen in over a year. A Printers section lists each physical printer once, with the iPads that print to it.
- Each device card shows the model, when it was last seen, the first 8 characters of its device ID (the same ID printed at the bottom of tickets), station, app and version, signed-in email, its IP address and paired PAX terminal IP, plus the printers assigned to it with their role.
- PAX subnet warning: a warning sign next to the PAX IP means the iPad and PAX terminal are on different subnets, so card payments may not reach the terminal.
- Online-order auto printing: the iPad set to Auto Print Online is marked in green and listed first. A badge warns when no iPad is set (online orders won't print on arrival) or when more than one is (duplicate kitchen tickets), listing the device IDs.
- Device Details (click a card): full device ID, name, model, OS, app version, station, IP addresses, signed-in email and whether it auto-prints online orders.
- Action Log lists the printer assignments created, updated or deleted on that iPad, newest first.
- Notify sends a test push notification to the iPad, optionally with your own title and body, and reports how many were sent and failed. Online-order auto printing relies on these notifications.
- Remove appears only on inactive devices and removes the device along with its printer assignments.
- Printer Details (click a printer): name, type, brand, role tag, connection target, and IP, MAC and Bluetooth addresses.
