What's included
Cash drawer and cash handling
Decide how cash is handled: servers keep cash and settle at clock-out, or cash goes in the drawer and card tips are paid out of it — plus the starting float and drawer counts.
Meal break rules
Let staff take unpaid meal breaks on the POS, with a minimum break length and a minimum time worked before a break.
POS payment methods
Choose which payment types the POS accepts — card, external card terminal, check, gift certificate, QR pay at the table and your own custom methods — and set payment safeguards.
Floor plan and tables
Lay out your dining rooms: add tables with seat counts, drag them into place, and draw walls, entrances, restrooms and labels.
- Business day: start day and start hour (e.g. 4 AM, so late orders count to the night before).
- Staff: require clock-in before ordering, photo at clock-in, clock out before all orders are paid.
- Orders: Send Order / Send & Pay, pre-authorized tabs on cards, required modifiers must be picked, skip seat selection, default party size, block tax exemption, pay off all orders before a new one.
- Online orders: stop the POS from canceling them; hide fee and tip.
- Quick-service mode: require a tag number, allow tipping.
- Custom to-go types (optionally auto-closed), gift certificate types (optionally requiring ID), custom discount names, loyalty sign-up on the customer-facing display.
- Report options: multiple shifts per day, shift and charges reports by station, tip and discount breakdowns, per-person sales.
- Waitlist on/off with next-table and gap times.
