Take orders on the POS
Ring up dine-in, pick-up and delivery orders (and drive-thru when it's on) from the Make Order tab: choose a table or a pickup time, add items with their modifiers, seats and hold times, attach the customer or loyalty member, then send it to the kitchen.

What's included
Enter an order from the back office
Ring up a dine-in or pickup order from your computer: pick a time, add items with their options and notes, and place it.
Modifiers and choices
Add option groups to dishes — sizes, sides, toppings, cooking temperature — with prices, required or optional picks, and min/max limits.
Menus, courses and dishes
Build your menu in three levels — menus (Food, Drinks, Happy Hour), courses (Appetizers, Desserts) and dishes — choose where each one is offered: in store, online or on third-party apps, and set aside catering menus for catering orders.
Quick modifiers for staff (matrix)
Give staff a fast grid of add-ons on the POS — prefixes like No, Add, Extra combined with groups like proteins, sauces or toppings — without building a modifier for every dish.
Discount vouchers on the POS
Ready-made discounts staff can apply on the POS — a percentage or a fixed amount — optionally limited to certain days and hours, and percentage vouchers to certain courses.
Sold out (86) and daily limits
Mark a whole menu, a course, a dish, a combo or a single modifier choice as run out (86'd), and set a daily count for a dish that warns POS staff once it's reached.
POS app settings
Choose how the POS works day to day: business-day start, clock-in rules, order flow, quick-service mode, to-go types, gift certificate types, reports and the waitlist.
Open orders on the POS
The Orders tab lists the day's open and closed orders from the register, online, kiosk and delivery apps. Open any order to print, add items, take payment, or edit, void, cancel or reopen it.
Seating and table service
The Seating tab shows your floor plan with each table's status, plus a list of seated parties, reservations, online bookings and the waitlist, so hosts and servers can seat guests and open their orders from one place.
- Order type along the top: Dine in, Pick up, Delivery, and Drive Thru for businesses with drive-thru turned on. Retail businesses only see Retail. Changing the type of an order that's already been sent (Edit › Edit Table, Time, Type) also offers Curbside.
- Dine in: pick the Party Size, then tap a table on the floor plan and the menu opens. In quick-service mode, with no tables set up, or with seat selection turned off in POS settings, the register goes straight to the menu.
- Pick up / Delivery: choose the to-go Type (your own to-go types, or Call-in, Walk-in, Grubhub, DoorDash, UberEats and Postmates if you haven't set any), the ready time, and the customer's name and phone. Delivery also takes the address and adds a delivery Fee based on distance, which you can edit.
- Customer and member: typing a 10-digit phone number looks up loyalty members and fills in the name. The star opens the Loyalty Center.
- Adding items: tap dishes by menu and course, search by name, or scan a barcode. The gear switches between block, image and list views and between showing items by menu or by course. Required modifier groups must be filled in. Each item can go to a Seat and get a Hold and Fire delay (0–60 minutes in 5-minute steps) so its kitchen ticket prints later. Copy a line to add it again.
- The buttons under the menu add dish markers, a loyalty member, a gift card, a voucher or a custom item.
- Rush: the bolt in the menu toolbar marks the order as rush. It only appears for businesses with the Kitchen Display.
- Tax exempt: tap the amount button under the items to apply or remove tax exemption, unless the back office has turned tax exemption off.
- Send puts the order in and prints the kitchen tickets. Pay & Send puts it in and opens payment; depending on your printing settings, the kitchen ticket prints right away or once it's paid. A staff member has to be logged in. POS settings can hide either button, and can block new orders until open orders are paid off.
- The POS stops and warns you about a sold-out (86'd) dish or choice, a dish past its daily limit, or an item from a menu outside its hours. A manager can approve it and staff can carry on.
- To add to an order that's already been sent, open it on the Orders tab and tap Add (full menu) or Repeat (pick items already on the order). New items print to the kitchen.
